Every educational institution is a complex enterprise, from small schools in rural areas to the most advanced universities in the world. Regardless of the size, every institution strives to create dynamic learning environments that inspire both educators and students. Together with administrators, technology can be used to improve the business of learning through productivity gains and efficiencies that make education easier, more accessible, and more affordable for all students.

» Who is Eligible to Join the Microsoft Education Alliance Program?
Any College/Institute that is approved either by the All India Council for Technical Education or University Grants Commission or a college/institute that is an autonomous organization of the Department of Higher Education of the Government of India’s Ministry of Human Resource Development is eligible to join the Microsoft Education Alliance Program.
» How Does the Program Work?
A college/institute can choose from three options of engagement based on how deeply they wish to partner with Microsoft under the Microsoft Education Alliance Program:
  • Option A, the entry level of engagement in the program
  • Option B, the next level of engagement in the program
  • Option C, the deepest level of engagement with Microsoft
Based on the engagement level, members receive a set of benefits that may include invitation to participate in RFPs from Microsoft research, assistance to deploy Microsoft software purchased by them, scholarship and internships for their students and participation in faculty readiness program on Microsoft technologies.

Engagement Points are given for activities related to participation of a member institute and its students and faculty in various Microsoft’s academic initiatives. As member institutes collect more engagement points they can choose to move to a deeper engagement level.
